So yeah, for some weeks now my PC has been making "beep" noises whenever I run a game, and sometimes it even exits windows and shuts off.
Anyone know how I can fix this? I don't think it's a virus.

hrmmm, i sorta had that, but in the end it didnt even beep
the only thing inside a computer is the harddrive
so its either a virus attacking your harddrive
or something isnt working properly in your computer
that is another safety precaution
if somethings wrong it will beep to tell you
and then shut down depending on the computer
i hope this helps you
System Specs would be helpful. System temperature while computer is idle and while it is playing the game would help too.
Possible the computer is overheating, and the beep is a feature built into the mother board and it beeps to alarm you that the heat is getting excessive. If you continue to play the computer shuts down to prevent further damage to the hardware.
Just a rough guess, judging by your situation, try playing the game with your side panel of the computer off, see if it still does the same thing.
Hope this was some help.
Does it crash with a blue screen?
blue screen = reinstall windows, if that doesnt work you'll need to make a system reinstall
blue screen does not = reinstall windows all the time, that might be the easiest solution. But not the only one.
Sounds like a hardware problem. It could be possible your cpu (or other component) is overheating or possible something is failing (like memory).
Does it crash with a blue screen?
yes also make sure that the temp is good, And open case make sure fans are runing np, and clear out all the dust,
Hard to make any further conclusions when Nemorosa has not answered back yet lol. Let us know if you got it all working good again Nemorosa . =)
My comp used to crash with blue screens all the time. Reinstalled windows 3 times. It turn out it was caused by Nvidia Network acess manager NVIDIA Forums > NVTcp.sys blue screen (nVidia NAM software) + 680i
Not blue screens, I think it's overheating. Sorry for the late reply.
Try opening the case and cleaning your pc out.
Install extra fans?
Yeah, check the fans.

Check the power supply as well...I had that happen to my system...starting making a high pitched "whine" of some sort. Not sure if that's what you're hearing though
