Thread
Start by choosing ware you want to post said thread.
Make sure you post in the correct place or you may get told off.
Once your in the place of the website were you want to post, simply click the button that says: "New Thread".
Once you have done this, it shows two boxes, a "title" box, and a "message" box.
The title box is what will show up as a title to your piece of work.
The message box is what your going to post inside.
Once you have written your message, you may notice a few boxes saying, Additional Options. In this box there are also a few titles saying, Miscellaneous Options, Attach Files, Thread Subscription, Post a Poll and Thread Management.
Miscellaneous options
This box shows a few tick boxes saying, Show your signature, Automatically parse links in text and Disable smilies in text.
Its recommended that you show your signature.
Your signature is usually at the bottom of ever Poll, post and Thread you write. As you may be able to see after all this, I have my signature. Thats what yours should look like.
Automatically parse links in text very simply turns all urls [[ web addresses ]] that you write into links to that web address.
Disable smilies is getting rid of all the funny faces. Here is an example of some smilies:
Attach Files
This option is mainly about attachments... we will come to this later in the Tutorial.
Thread Subscription
This will show the thread on your User CP for easy access. Read more about this later in the Tutorial.
Post a Poll
Read more about this function later in the Tutorial.
Thread Management
This contains Close this thread after you submit your message and Stick this thread after you submit your message.
What Closing a thread is, is making the thread unable to be posted in.
What sticking a thread is, is making the thread stick to the top.
Only moderators and administrators can use these functions.
How to create a poll
Very easy once you know how!
Step One
Click on "New Topic"
Step Two
Type in the title and message you want to see UNDER your poll. DON'T CLICK SUBMIT NEW THREAD AT THIS POINT!
Step Three
Scroll down, DON'T CLICK Submit New Thread!, look at Additional Options and tick the box saying yes, post a poll.
Step Four
Type the number of options you want for people to choose from and click submit new thread.
Now a new window should apear. This is whare all the information goes. This includes:
Step Five
Type in the options you want people to choose from.
Step Six
Tick whether you want your poll to close on a sertain day.
Step Seven
Click Submit New Poll/Forum.
Thats it!
How to use the User CP
A bit tricky, but you will get used to it.
Click on User CP in the menu at the top.
Here it COULD show SOME OF these Panels: New Subscribed Threads, Latest Reputation Received and
the Control Panel.
New Subscribed Threads
This shows threads you have subscribed to. Meaning threads that you want to keep and eye on.
Read How to post and Create a thread.
Latest Reputation Received
This shows why people have added to your reputation. Reputation is given if you have done
something good. Bad reputation is given if you have done something bad.
Control Panel
The control Panel consists of, Settings & Options, Private Messages[PM's], Subscribed Threads,
Moderation[Moderators ONLY] and Miscellaneous.
Settings & Options consists of Edit Signature, Edit Email & P*BOBBA*word, Edit Profile, Edit Options
and Edit Avatar.
Edit signature is to edit your signature. To do this click on Edit Signature. Then type in what you
want your signature to be. This will apear below every post. Normal Members can only have 5 LINES.
Edit Email & P*BOBBA*word is used when you have changed your email, or want to change your p*BOBBA*word.
To use this, click on Edit Email & P*BOBBA*word and in the first box, enter your current p*BOBBA*word.
The box under that says New P*BOBBA*word, so type in your new p*BOBBA*word twice. If you also want to
change your email, simply type in your new email address TWICE in both boxes.

Edit Profile is to edit the important things like editing your gender, Date of birth, homepage,
Instant messaging contact information, your location, biography, Favourate habbo furni, the
hotel you play in, your likes and dislikes, your favourate food, your hobbies, other things you
want to say about yourself, your habbo hotel names and the games you play.
All these are very simply edited just by correcting the information in the box, and Saving the Changes.

Edit Options is an option you use to change your options like, Allowing vCard Download, allowing others
to email you, defaults and much much more!
Private Messages(PM's)
Private Messaging consists of these options: List Messages, Send New Message, and Edit Folders.
List Messages alows you to go to your Inbox and read your messages. Also, when you recive a message,
a pop up will apear what will take you to this page.
Send New Message is very simply a place were you can send messages to other people. These messages
are logged but only administrators and the person you are sending them to can read them.
Edit Folders is used to add/delete folders. You start out with two folders, Inbox and Sent Items.
If you want to make a new folder, write the folder name and press save folders.
You can very easily move peoples messages from folder to folder.
Subscribed Threads
This lists all the subscribed threads you have subscribed to, this includes a button to List
Subscriptions, and to Edit your subscription folders.
Moderation - Not included because not used in a normal User CP.
Miscellaneous
This includes, Event Reminders, Paid Subscriptions, Buddy/Ignore Lists and Attachments.
Event reminders are reminders that you have set of events. These can be found in the Calender.
Paid Subscriptions is a subscription to the website, you can also subscribe to habtipsforum.com
here.
Buddy / Ignore Lists are the lists of people who are on your contact list, and your ignored list.
People on your ignore list are people who cant Pm you.
Attachments are a list of items you have attached to topics throughout your life on the website.
How to change your font/size/style of your text
On this forum, unlike others, its very easy to do this. So I'm going to tell you how to on usual
forums, and how to on this forum.
Usual Forums
On usual forums, theres one rule. ALWAYS close off your marks!
To color something red, you would type:
["color=red"]This is what you would type["/color"]
You may notice, I have closed it at the end, with a [/] type mark.
This works the same for boldness.
["b"]This is what you would type around to make things bold["/b"]
["i"]This is what you would type around to make things Italic["/i"]
["u"]This is what you would type around to make things underlined["/u"]
Don't forget to take out the "'s
Theres also a way of centering text.
["align=center"]This would put your text in the middle["/align"]
There are loads more, but these are the main ones used.
This Forum
This forum has buttons. It has a center button, a changing font button, and anything else you could
think of. What this does is does the same oparation, but all the marks around the words are hidden!
Doing this means that you only have to press a button. So its easyer.
How to attach a picture to a post
This again is very simple using the tools on the website.
Step One
Click the New Thread Icon
Step Two
Click the side of the "Paper Clip" Picture on the top tool bar.
Step Three
Choose to add a picture allready on the net, or off your computer.
Skip step four if the picture is off the net.
Step four
Click browse then upload.
Skip step five.
Step five
Type in the URL to upload the picture from.
Step Seven
Click Upload
There you have it! All done!
How to "Quote"
Quoting is a process in which when your on a forum, you are talking to that SPECIFIC person.
Or if your saying things like bla bla was a useless post.
To do this, very simply look for the post you want to "Quote" and look at the bottom right hand
corner. Theres a button what says "Quote". Press this and you will see a reply box.
In the reply box, theres some writing surrounded by [quote] marks.
Under this type your message back to that person.
Carefully though! Don't go off topic!
How to add/remove a Link
Because of new functions, to add a link to a website, just type in the website.
To remove the link, just backspace the writing.
How to insert smilies
This is very simple. It matters whether you replying or not but it all works in the same way.
Simply click on the smile you want in the bar next to you.
These can also be made by typing things like:
