    Since bevell and emboss is kinda ugly imo and out of style..
    Alternative method;
    Add a new layer ontop.
    Go Image->Apply Image.
    Ctrl+A to select the whole canvas.
    Right click and select stroke
    1 px border in either white or black is always nice.

    Just an alternative method.

    Simple things are often the most beautifull. Bear in mind that bevell and emboss borders and even the use of it, is totally out of date and ugly.

    The difference between the apprentice and the master hehe (jokin' btw)

    Actually for you to say the pixel borders look like crap, you dont know what your talking about I use a double pixel border (look in my sig) and thats all I use. I honestly hate the bulkey and embedded look that this kind of signature gives and only use it on certain occasions, not my favorite, but thanks for the tutorial, its well needed for all the people with no border out on the forums.

    Embbed borders are incredibly horrific, like honestly awful lol. the double pixel border ClearFlare is very nice, its simple and so effective. Its all a sig needs honestly...
