First, I'm not sure if this is meant to go in the Off-Topic forum or this one. I presumed this one though since it's a discussion about graphics (even though it's manually from the marketing standpoint).
Anyway, we all know what thread designs are right?
These are thread designs:
They can be very creative, messy, clean, simple, etc. Anything goes pretty much. For the most part though, I see relatively simple thread designs. Very rarely do I see a more complex, nice detailed thread design.
I'm looking for opinions as to why this is. Is it because people don't know where to find designers to do more advanced work? Are they not interested in paying more, and if so is it because they think a more detailed design won't help their cause any more than a cheaper design, or do they just not want to shell out the cash?
For instance, I never see people paying over $100 for thread designs. I know I for one can easily spend over 30 hours on a thread design if I want and the outcome is much better than would be if I had spent far less time on it, obviously (in my opinion anyway).
So I'm curious as to your opinion why I don't see more detailed thread designs (like 10+ hours spent). Do you feel thread designs can be a big boon to a service, or do you feel that they're pointless and ineffective?
Thanks~
