Any interest in a Signature of The Week contest?

So I'm just wondering if anybody would have an interest in a Signature of The Week contest?

Rules would be something to the effect of

Image Size
The maximum size of your custom image is 600 by 140 pixels or 82.8 KB (whichever is smaller).

Time Frame - Creation
Participants will have 6 days to submit their Signature of The Week entree.
Start day will be on Sunday and run through Friday

Voting
Voting will take place on Saturday
Voting will be done by the community members via replying to a vote thread

Winner(s)
Will get a custom made Signature bar they can include in their Signature showing off that they won the Signature of The Week Contest.
Bragging rights for 1 week
Option to choose the next weeks theme

Disqualification
Contestants who use images that have not been designed by the Contestant themselves.
Images that are found not to be made new for that weeks contest
Contestants who are found to be bribing, asking, paying members for votes
Failed to create a signature within the size limits
Submissions not submitted properly or submitted late to the contest

This would only be for fun. It's a way for artist to show off their computer graphic skills while also bringing more attention to this section. The details would be hammered out before the first contest took place including a custom made winners bar for each week.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I enjoy seeing the creative artwork of others, and most forums have some sort of this. However, most people only do them for a reason like awards, ect. If this takes off, I may be adding in a few rewards here and there.

TheFreak, I think this is something that could bring the Graphic Forums back to live and I think it is a great ideá for artists to show their work and also do it to get some fun out of it. If I can help you arange this event in any way give me PM And hope this will get up and running soon! +1

I too would love to see this get going but with the lack of interest thus far I doubt it will happen. We'll see though.

While I'm no longer very active here, I really support your idea and I can pinch in with reputation rewards for participants. I'd love to see the graphics section turned back into its old glory days, even though that's tough to do. Regardless, all the best luck with this!

SoTA have always been something that attracted me to various forums, but the lack of participants always ends up killing it. If the staff and members participate i think it'll go well. I'm game for it if we get a decent amount of entries.
