    Second signature! C&C Please! :)

Okay, so after the first round of c&c i tried to add it into my new sig, one of my big focuses was to make a better background, becaues my last one was really boring, and flat looking, i still don't like my background too much, so any tips on improving that is greatly appreciated, i had a hard time getting c4d's in (really bad at that atm) so its just a smudge background, and i tried adding flow with the small dots.

Also my text i kind of like, but it also looks boring, and i don't know if there might be another place in the sig that it would fit more.

So C&C please, be as harsh as you want to

Would have looked better if you made the right shoulder (on her right) blend in with the back color.
All in all, looks pretty boring, but that's just my opinion. I like signatures that have effects more than the ones that are kind of plain.

    Editable signature, at last!

For a second signature this is simply brilliant. One thing to look out for, as mentioned, is the lighting. Try and judge your lighting point based on your render's pre-existing lighting, that way it works better.

Your text placement is very nice, as well as font choice, although I do think the "mmowned" part could be a little bit more opaque (not so that it is distracting, just so that you can read it without strain).

Also, I just want to add; the background isn't as bad as you think, it flows pretty nicely with your render's motion.

Sometimes a plain signature is the best kind, I like it. Keep up the good work, glad to see people actually taking advice instead of just slapping grunge brush after brush onto their signature.

I totally agree with Sneakylemons. You may also want to work on blending your render in a bit.

Yeah, i couldn't really find a color that fit, so it ended up red ish, it was standing between that and a more green color.

My blending on it is really terrible i know, and that's just because i wasn't practicing on that, so it's "kind of" intended :P because i didn't use time on trying ^^ I was just practicing the background mostly, thanks for the comments.

Also for the effects and boring part, i didn't think that crap loads of c4d's and brush types would look good for my render, because it's not some kind of anime hero. In sigs with real people, i think it fits better that there aren't that many effects on it, but that might be just because i'm not that good at using the c4d's yet ^^

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, and comments, i'll see if i can work a bit more on blending on my next one specifically ^^

Also, in the render it looked light lightning came from the top left, thats why i used dodge and burn to get it look more like it, i guess it didn't suceed very well :P

It depends on the render. For the one you used on this sig, i 100% agree that a more plain background was the way to go, but just because it is a human model doesn't mean it can't have C4Ds. The main thing to remember is that you aren't forced to use C4Ds in a signature, the only reason you should use them is if you feel it would improve the effect you are trying to portray. If it over-complicates the signature or is distracting, just toss it.

The lighting on that render is pretty hard to tell to be honest (especially without seeing the original), right now it looks like it could be coming from above her, towards her back more though and to the right a bit. Don't worry, as you make more you'll get used to it.
