First One in a While (Abstract)

I hadn't touched photoshop in a while, so I decided I would bring it back up and see what I could come up with. I like this one, tell me what you think.

Mhmm really nice. I'm liking the background and the colours and of course the glow in the middle.
But the lines look a little fake if you look at it for some time..I'm not sure how to correct it but good work anyway

Not sure that can be corrected, they are just pen tool stroked lines. The image is at 300 res, not much more I could do. =/

[Reflection]

The bezier curve kinda disturbs the flow and balance of the composition. I like the idea of it all, but I feel that the lines could have been more interesting. Perhaps some thicker strokes as well, not just the two-three pixel lines all over.

In my opinion, the background is a bit too grungy for a vexel composition: you need something else to balance the vexel & grungy background as it looks a bit messy right now.

You might want to have a look at the drop shadow at the top too. It cuts off near the end of it and the rule of thirds, as its main purpose is to continue the image outside the image itself, is kinda weak when you can clearly see the drop shadow end.

Overall, it's a good piece but could use some more work to be top notch. For now, even though it might be simplistic, I feel that it is a bit too simple and therefore a bit boring. You need something to catch the viewers attention and something else than background and strokes.

Made a little revision, tried to make it a bit more vexel-ish to keep a consistent style; not sure if the added piece fits in though, didn't know what to do to fill some of the empty space

Edit: Also tried going back and adding some more of a grunge feel to it. I think this is the one I like the most.
