[Design]Wallpaper I made.

Hey, I have been a lurker here on mmowned for a while and even made a few mount swap edits for people for a while int he model changing section . Thought I would share a wallpaper I made with the design portion of the site. I am still trying to get all my photoshop goodness back lol, it has been a while. i have been making sigs for a few friends as well if you guys were interested in seeing those, just leave a post and let me know. Maybe I will post them here or make a new thread with them. We will see how you guys like my work though first :P



Just a note, I blurred out my icons and bar :P. Have enough people to tease me about what my folders are and what is running XD. Hope you guys enjoy it, I may even post the full version (its 1600 x 1200) but some good CnC is always welcome.

to be honest I like it. I feel like it could use some blending in though. There are 3 different "levels" that i see. the bottom one, the monster itself, and the black out of that. Each one seems to be apart from the other and I feel that you could go ahead and combine them a little bit more. Now i dont know a whole lot so thats just my two cents.

ya I can see what you mean. I tried do something brush erasing around a bit to see if I could get a better result, but I could not get something I like. I like the "3" layers to it, because it feels a bit more depthy.

on that note... I like the wallpaper.. thanks for the share-- you should post a download for the original file though without your icons and taskbar in the pic :-) id probably use it

Pretty awesome work, although I am seeing the same thing as Forgiving. The C4D's feel as if they are in front of the demon and the demon is in front of what ever you have going on at the back. The colours used are good and work well with the demon and the colours of the background. Lighting is good and works well. The use of the C4D's make a cool effect and overall it is pretty decent. Keep up the great work.

thanks for the complements . and ya Ali, I was going for some of the C4D's to be in the front, to give it like an effect he is growing out of the effects if that makes sense. Thanks for the CnC as well! ^_^

also I may release the full version. I am still undecided. I have had some of my old work stolen from me, and it sucks trying to get the "authorities"(mean forum admins on other sites, or web hosts) to remove my work people claim as their own on other websites. I keep my PSD files of course , but those only get you so far in the process lol. I am pretty attached to this wallpaper though, I think it looks amazing! ^_^ and I didn't even think about Halloween coming up soon so it kinda fits that theme as well lol.

Watermark if you feel unsafe. It's better than a resize. Another note, unless you have made the c4d's yourself (or if they're freeware) you can't really claim it as your own. I'm currently at my school so I'll take a real look at it once I get back.

The signature could go into a different thread as it's a different type of art. However, if you have like five similar signatures please merge them into one post.

sure enough it did . by the way, in my own defense, i am TERRIBLE with font and could use work on placement probably lol.

just to comment on the adding a watermark to my wallpaper as well. I am not against the idea, but I am also not all for it. I hate watermarks on wallpapers if i happen to find one I would enjoy using other then my own. I just feel the water mark text pulls my attention straight to it over the actual wallpaper lol. I understand why people use them, won't complain about them doing it. Just my feelings on the subject of adding them XD

I like the wallpaper. Altho again, i cant say what you used, and what you did yourself, so can't comment on the skill involved.
But i do like the looks of it very much. Good job.

Just to point out, i posted the stock image i started out with in my first post at the bottom . I smudged it up and added in different C4D's for the effects. erased em some for blending and of course ran some filters to make them look better. hope that helps with your thoughts ^_^

I be damned, i failed to see the stock photo at the bottom of the post!
It looks nice indeed, colors fit in nicely i must say, one thing i can see is you should see hes palms more clearly imo.
Also quite allot of brushing! Which i can't complain on as thats what i like the most (doing it myself)
