[Rate&CC] Simple Grey Design.

Hello Mmowned,

I have been sick but I'm feeling better so I can't really do anything so all I got is the computer till I can go out once again, But out of bordem I made a simple grey design, This is probably the first design I actually took time on. I've made others but they aren't very good at all since I rushed it through. This one I took my time and tried to make it look decent. In my opinion its the best so far.

I didn't post the image since it looks huge on the post and takes up alot of space.


How can I improve? Please let me know.
I already know the banner/header isn't that great the text. And the banner it self might be to big/wide.
I am also aware of the the menu on going list. I was trying to fill it xD

How to improve it? Do the opposite of what you admitted, simple and gray.
Simple stuff can be nice, but also become too boring. The same with gray. In some cases it works well, but it can be a very boring color to look at.
So I suggest you to use some gradients and selection tools, with a color scheme, so you can spice it all up.
Try to work with textures aswell. Make the banner/header smaller. Centerize the news boxes. And the menus at the top, should, imo, be moved to the left, because most people read from left to right + Top left to bottom right.

Does the site actually work? Or did you just make a design without any coding? o.O cause if that is what you did, then this is kinda useless tbh.

Well its not useless. Its just a psd right now once I completety finish the design with all the improvements I will code this.

Basicly a mockup, i dont see them as useless, but quite a way from usefull :P
