Testing smudge

Normally I've just went crazy when smudging, and smudge all over the place. But I tried reading a few tutorials, and came up with this:

Interesting, Im gonna take a guess and say the render was like a bird or airplane, or is that just a coincedence that it looks like a smudgy bird?

I used nothing but brush tool and smudge tool.

I don't myself either. But was more a test. Normally, as said, I just grab the smudge tool, use some settings, and drive my mouse around with 50km/h.
