[Request] How to make this look better?

Basically, my friend sketched some little designs, and he said that I could make them into vectors. So the original design isn't mine, but all the computer work, coloring, shape adjustment, etc. was my work lol.

My only problem is that I want it to have a sleek, perhaps glossy look, which I am having trouble accomplishing.

So my request is that someone would make it look sleek/glossy, even change the coloring, to make it hold a simple yet powerful look. Perhaps even better, would be if someone would be willing to show me how they did it, or how to do it myself.

I'll give it a shot if you want, is the P supposed to be a P or did i look too much into that? If so I would like to make it stand out more.

haha no, it's not supposed to resemble anything, or any letters. the P just grew out of free space I guess.
