[Tutorial] [How-To] Make a cool signature effect

    Hello MMOwned!

In this tutorial i will show you how to make a object "ignore the edges" on your signature.
    Here is a example:

As you see the hand just make it over the edge, but just a little bit adds a pretty cool effect.
Lets start by open up Photoshop, any version will do but i use CS4 Extended.
Make a new project, for this tutorial i will use 400x100 for my signature, but as we will make something "ignore the edges" i will make it 425x125.
Now select the Paintbucket tool and paint the background to the same color as MMOwned, wich is "#2c2c2c".

Add a new layer, in this layer we be the shape of the signature, for this tutorial I will make a black shape,
then add some "Drop Shadow", "Gradient Overlay" and a "Stroke"
Remember to save some space around the shape to work with later.

Now we can add some text (Your forum user name), don't make the text go outside the edge, save that for something else.
If you make everything go outside the edge, it will not be the same effect.

Now you you might have something like this:

Now find something to add to your signature, it could be anything, I use WoW Modelviewer to make a undead
with some fancy gear, i use a bright green background so i can easily edit it out in PS.
If you use a real person, it can be a bit tricky to remove the background, I will not show how to do that here,
but here is a basic tutorial for that [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFTw_xI1wTg]YouTube - Remove background (basic) in Ps CS3[/ame]

Now you should have something like this:

Now play around with brushes (Free Photoshop Brushes)

I didn't do very much with brushes because i wanted it to be clean, so here is the final result:

This was just a basic tutorial, you can make so much more with this!
If you don't understand something, ask me here in the thread or in a PM.

If this was useful for you please let me know!

Look at your post, now back to mine; Now back to your post, now back to mine. Sadly, it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate content, it could look like mine. Look down, backup, where are you? You're scrolling through threads, reading the post your post could look like. What did you post? Back at mine; It's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again and the reply is now diamonds.

Anything is possible when you think before you post. The moon is shrinking.
