The Main text and the Web development text dont go together, the brushes don't blend with the text (yea thats a bad thing) and some of them look kinda displaced.
You also really should change the texture in the text

imho, the Coming Soon looks better

    I'm fourteen, don't expect pro ;P

But ta for criticisms this was just a test really..

Also It's still in work... but I think it'll work better once I've made the twiddly bits look less detached...

Also The Coming soon used a pre designed font (Capture It) whereas the other text was done using a really basic textureless sans font that I edited as I was advised too by a graphic designer :L

I really like this. I offer you my high-fives towards your graphic designings at 14. Now, back onto the topic.

You used the glow layer effect on the text, for the orange, that's all well and good, but on the "A" of the "Volatile", you can see the glow around the A above the awesome design that's there.

That is ludicrously nit-picky, for sure. Otherwise, it looks awesome.

We aren't, At volatile development we aren't following the trend, we're aiming to make an individual site (I'm fed up of clean designs </3) I'll be making another site for a clean coperate style later.

It doesn't really have an identity about it, it's never going to create a recognisable brand because it's far too detailed. And there's a reason companies of this type tend to stick to clean banners, namely because it's -far- easier to create a recognisable logo but because a proffessional typeface screams "we're competent and proffessional" while this style does nothing of the sort.

I'm not sure why, but I'm going to have to disagree on the brushes don't blend with the text, because it blends amazingly IMO.

    11/10.

    I'm lovin' it.

This isn't a final logo so you know, I'm having my brother do a proper logo design in return for a website (as he's a graphic designer, and logos can cost thousands) This is just a typography test really but whatever I intend on keeping a similar style...

The main reason for all of this style is because I am so fed up of everything having to be clean designs it makes me want to cry </3Web2.0</3
