Nice. But you copied my idea for this thread lol.
Your first is better than mine... but I have way
less experience with photoshop. only had for like
a week or so. Also, I was not sure on how to make
one and what kind of text/render to use on it.
But, this is very good for you first sig
I would also rate this Signature a 8.5 or 9 on a
scale of one to ten.![]()

Try using stocks and smudging them, work on your lighting for you have none. All you have done is put a couple fractals, Render, and text. Thats how i was when I started. Just work on all over stuff. I recommend going to deviantART: where ART meets application! and looking for some tutorials.
Wow, double post gayness.
thanks both of you.
currently fixing my sig with what you suggested....
p.s. any guides for working with lighting in gimp?
figured it out.

No problem man, your doing great so far.
Keep it up...![]()
Look at how the light hits your un-altered render. You will see that the skeletons right face is lit up. You put your light source on the other side which is normally not lit up. To preserve general flow, your light source should be on the side that is being lit up to give it a more natural sense of light.
Keep your backgrounds 'simple' by blending it in to give it flow, consistent, balance, and depth, what you have now if far from that. Try smudging it or something.
Keep your text simple. Don't let it stand out too much, and keep it near your focal point.
