Welcome to my tutorial!
I hope you'll find it remotely helpful at the least!
We are basically going to make a signature with a video in it! Okay. Here we go!
Step 1. Find the video file you would like to use. (I personally chose one from youtube, and rip it with youtube downloader! And then convert it to an "iPod video" file.)
Step 2. Go into photoshop, go to File > Import > Video Frames to Layers.
Step 3. You will then see a box like below, use the same settings as me, and proceed to chose the area of the clip you wish to use. I try to keep it not too long to reduce size. To chose what section of the video you want, firstly slide the slider to the beginning of the section, and then click+shift the marker to the end of the section you wish to use!
Step 4. You will now be presented with your video as an animation infront of you! Congratulations. However, this is not the end We now need to make it the correct size, and put it into a signature!
Go to image > image size.
Change the width to about 100px, this is the size I use. it will automatically change the height.
Press OK!
Step 5. Now go to image > canvas size. Change the canvas size to whatever size you wish your signature to be. I use 400 by 120.
Step 6. Okay! We have the video in the signature, but it's in a crap place, select ALL the layers (click the first layer, then press shift, and select the last layer!), and then drag the video to where you want it to be.
Step 7. Build a signature around it! You can use as many layers as you want etc, but it is always safer to put these layers BELOW the video.
Step 8. Well done! You have successfully put a video into a signature, this is one that I made whilst doing the tutorial!
I used a really random and EXTREMELY short piece of video... don't be afraid to experiment. And remember! If you need any help, give me a shout !
