That's right! I will edit this thread with effects later, but I am tired. I have just started again after two years, when I used to be pro at this. I did two signatures in literally 5 minutes just messing with the effects, and they aren't that good, but I am improving back to my level.

A render is a perfectly cut out image from something. If you took the joker, and cut him out of the interrogation scene in batman (zoomed in and traced it perfectly) and cut it out to just get the joker, you would have rendered that image. Many have already been cut out.
