    Here comes the CnC

    1) the tree feels very out of place, hard to place a finger on why, but it doesn't fit
    2) you need to work on your lighting

    Now to elaborate:
The area where the sun is seen rising in the valley formed by the mountains needs the most attention. With the sun behind the mountains JUST peeking out, the light would not spread so broad across the mountains until the sun has reached a higher point in the sky. Even if the sky was cloudy, the diffusion caused by the clouds would not create that much light spread. The mountains would also retain a great deal of their silhouette. In general sunrises especially new ones tend to be overall darker.

Lighting is just as important as the line drawing itself. Take some time to read up on the basics of light theory and study images of mountain or desert sunrises.

The good: Overall line work and color is nice
I make with the pretty and shiny

The tree looks out of place because -

    1. The lines created by the blowing of the willow tree's branches are contrary to the lines on the rock upon which the tree is perched.
    2. The lines created by the blowing of the branches also suggest that the wind is coming from somewhere off camera.. leading the mind to believe that something is happening that we're not seeing. "The rule of leading lines".

Looks great Narudan. Tree could be in a better spot, however.

Thats all because i first drew the tree and then thought a background might look nice ^^
