Alot better with blending, now you just need to work on your text and adding more layers.

Text standards imo as well as many people I know who Shop

OUTER GLOW = FAIL
BEVEL/EMBOSS = FAIL
DROP SHADOW = FAIL
SATIN = FAIL

also, add layer styles to your text, and feel free to duplicate the text layer and stack layer styles. Overlay and Soft light are nice ways to help blend your text. You can also use color/linear burn.

play with that for a bit and see what you come up with

they dont fail, you just have to know how to use them right

the issue with that is most people don't, you can use much more simplified methods of making text look nice, and it is much more effective imo. Then again I am fairly bad with text I think.
