This is what im going to do...

This thread will be this weeks. and i will put the submissions on the 2nd post like i said i would. On Saturday i will make a new thread for Week 1 Submissions Please Vote. After 5 PM EST on Sunday I will announce the winner and they get to choose the next theme. Then i will make the thread again with the new theme. Does that seem good or what else should i change/add?

personally to me one day just does not seem enough for voting. traditionally i thought other sites doing this gave a longer time span e.g. a week. 1 day means that everyone has to check the thread on that day/not be busy etc. its just too short a time to get a wide voting populous imo.
others may see it differently but for me 1 day seems too little (thats if i read your post right and you were talking about doing1 day)

SaturdAy - Monday afternoon, voting

I think it'll be better imo if, as Jwicky said, we make all the submissions in one week and then have a whole week for voting while the next competition is started same time. Aka:

Week 1: Competition thread
Week 2: Voting for week 1 sig of the week
Week 2: New competition thread started the same day as Voting for week 1.

he doesn't pick that weeks theme he picks the next, as for this week there is no previous winner people decide next weeks theme now so e.g.

people decide theme of tech
Person A wins freestyle
Person B wins tech
Person C wins Person A's choice of theme
Person D wins Person B's choice of theme
Person E wins Person C's choice of theme
etc

only giving people one day to vote is not gonna fly, go to sigtutorials.com there setup is perfect, but no matter to me, this is not a graphics driven website so reguardless oh what you decide to do is fine.\

Also to answer your question... the winner of week 1 picks theme for week 3 and so on and so on. that was a no brainer.

well there are many signature styles and themes here are some examples,,,

Styles... Freestyle * Abstract * Black & White * Minimilistic * Grunge * Vector
or themes... Comic * Movie * Anime * Sports * War

Well okay. I want everyone well as many competitors as they can to vote. For next weeks. I will making an edit in the first post for next weeks style/theme. No point for making a new thread i will do a quick tally thing :P

no offense or anything, but i think carlosj or jwicky should start the next competition. they have more knowledge about these kinds of things.

but i get it... I tried to start some little competition thing that i didnt want to be exactly like a sotw but it seems it has to be like that. I understood what they ment and i made some changes but now it works. It didnt even start and your suggesting someone else to run it. I admit. im not as great as jwicky he has had more experiance definaly. And i appriciate the help i really do. from all of you. im just trying to get things started
