I'd also like to know how you make those stripes. I can't find an example, but i think there's some in CarlosJ's sig, to the right, down in the corner where his name is written. I don't know if it's in the render.

You can use these patterns by selecting an area, then go to Edit-> Fill and the pattern or you use the pattern stamp, which you get by rightclicking on the clone stamp.

Also urgent question, i did my first render with the pen tool on paths. then i made the zoom back to normal size but now when i go "Create vector mask" it is in gray so i cant click on it!
