no1 you cant put it in your sig as your a "lazy leecher" go get 5 rep and then do in your sig to use it

regarding the sig for your first it has some slight promise with the use of brush work on the sides. however you're render really ruins the sig, when using a render/stock anything when resizing it hold shift, this will resize it in proportions so it doesnt end up looking squished like yours.
as i dont play halo (omg shoot me) not sure if thats a render and background or all one image. like with the shadows you have added try to complemnt this with a light source. using a white brush create a light source to complemtn where the light is on your render. at the moment you have shadows on the left and right which isn't right in this situation, it should be one or the other. and looking at the render the light should be on the left. then to accentuate this use the burn tool (other tools are available) and burn shadows onto the right side of the render, this will give the effect of depth. and help complement the shadows you made

the text is ok i suppose doesnt exactly fit but isnt glaringly bad. however the text is just slightly too big and needs more to it than a white fill. either add some effects/gradients to it or put it on overlay a couple of times so it blends with the sig. its just plain white stands out too much and detracts attention from the rest of the sig.
lastly add a border (simple 1 px is all thats needed at times) but helps finish a sig, and just keep looking at tutorials and practicing, only way you will improve.

When I first looked at it I was like wtf is the render lol then I realized it was master chief but he is really flat. I will give it a 6/10 because of the flat render.
Also make the text blend a little more and try a different font

Here is a Tip. When making your render smaller in photoshop press Ctrl+T and then while holding shift drag down on the sides to make it smaller but the render will stay in proportion.

Ok first off to make a border go to select--all then go to select->modify->border an a little box should apear with the pixel width you want for the border.

To get brushes into photoshop go to your adobe folder and your photoshop folder. Then go into presets and click on the folder called brushes. Move all your brushes into that folder and then go into photoshop and get out your brush tool. Next to where it says brush size bush on the little arrow that points down and there will be this thing where you can choose brush hardness next to that will be little arrow like this -> click that and click load brushes and chose the brushes you want to load

Hope this helps.

When you drag the fonts into the font folder a new little window should appear saying Installing new fonts. I use Windows xp but i think the same should be for vista users.

hmmm look one more time inside the font folder to see if the file(s) realy is there ^^
