Well i didnt know it until a read a post on this section where someone needed help with flash, i have been working with flash for 5 years and have won numerous awards at my school for them, so if you need help ask here.

I was wondering how you could actionscript a random "object". Like, the 1st time you play it, you see a chair on location XYX. Play it again, its on YYX, etc.

thats easy i have it in one of my flash games.
here it is:

onClipEvent(load){
randy = (Math.round(Math.random()* 400))
randx = (Math.round(Math.random()* 500))
this._y = randy
this._x = randx
}
Put this into the movie clip you want to randomly generate a position every time the movie loads, this is universal for ever movie clip because it refers to itself with "this".
in randy = (Math.round(Math.random()* 400)) I am generating a random number between 1 and 400.
in randx = (Math.round(Math.random()* 500)) I am generating a random number between 1 and 500.
this._y = randy
and
this._x = randx
is just applying the numbers as coordinates to the movieclip symbol.
I used flash 8 to make this script if your wondering.

I need to spin an image fast I have a blade thats a circle and need to find the actionscript for it looked everywere. I need it to STAY IN ONE SPOT and spin. Not compleatly the image go in a circle

just put it in a movie clip and spin it with a motion tween, thats way easier that in actionscript.

Ok I am having some problems
I just seen this thread sorry if its outdated but how can I make it so when I put text into a button,it can still be clickable or the button text alone?

when you type the text, after you have what you want, highlight the text and press CTRL+B two times, it will them be clickable.
