First, sorry for bumping. and secondly as i said on the prev page. i have ps but cant use it.

Now i have made a new cind of c4d art (or what ever)

so it would be cool if you'd like to give me some more advices.
Like: its to messy, bad placing etc.
Please dont crit the colours, lightning or size becouse thats changeable to what render it should be.

Ohh and i didnt add any render cuz i didnt find anything matching the rythem.
and i upload 2 cinds of colours so u can extract it a lil better. Thanks ^^

looks better but i think what you need to do is manually add colours to the sig. instead of adding a gradient map ove the top, making it all one colour, create a new layer, set it to "colour" and brush with particular colours over certain parts of the sig.
also try creating many layers for all your rbushing which will allow you to change the layer types for each to get a varied effect (e.g. liner light works well) lastly if you feel comfortable with manually brushing in colours try brushing darker colours on top of particular areas to add some nice depth

and also dont forget a border, doesnt have to be fancy, a simple 1 px black/white border normally works, it just helps so much to finish it off.

Ohh sorry i didnt see your'e comment >.<! Thanks . But its nearly imposible for me to colour it myself. in gimp we have a tool that you can ''colorize'' it. any tuts
    love the crit ^^

Edit:now i know what to do! i usely merge all layers and colorize it but i can colorize each induvidual layer! that will give it more depth etc jaj (brb after school)

As an addition to wat shinyshoes said, Most people use the Burn and Dodge tool to get the 3d look in.

Most of the Time C4d's are to add a required special effect to a signature. Rathere than being the base of the sig. I reccomend not keeping the base color the same through the sig and use a variety of c4d's. Personally I don't liek using icicle lookign c4d's.

Thanks for the crit yeah i'll colorize each induvidual c4d (layer). and i know c4ds are to bring depht in the sig but this once i was trying to make it the theme (like piersed's once[not inspierd by him]). i'll keep it in mind and i didnt use any gard maps. in my gfx program we have a tool called colorize. it makes it able to make evrything in the selected layer get a colour and light of own choice.

both, "c4ds" generally refer to a 3d abstract render (peirsd uses them alot if you need an idea), so you can download them and import them into ps. however you can also get brush packs of c4d. so you can brush the c4d on aswell. if you want some links il try get them for you

    Planet Renders v3

For flat out C4d's and fractals. I don't usually use c4d's as brushes...seems very odd, but I can see how it would work. C4d's are basically additions to a signature, to give it more background, or even add geometric patterns of shapes and angles.

sorry confused how you mean you cant see how it would work, perhaps you need to understand a bit about "c4ds" first; they are vector based, and because they are not pixel based it allows them to be stretched without any loss of quality. brushes need to be vector based so that they look the same quality no matter what size you use them at. so as the c4d is vector based it can be used as brush, when you download brushes you may download "tribal" "grunge" brushes, its just a different style of brushes "c4d". it works in the same way as any other brush apart from it uses c4d images.
so yeah basically theres no difference between a c4d brush and a c4d, ones imported in and ones used like a brush (so probably more design features available) really you should be trying them out as they do help with the depth of the sig alot and using them as a brush just makes your life easier.hope that helps clear it up a bit for you

some links if you/Qup/ and others want to try it out(none of these are made by me, credit to the original authors):
