    [Question] Renders with GIMP

Ok, I have a render which I want to put onto my sig that I'm making ( my first ever one... ^_^ ), problem is that I don't know where or how to resize it...

...I tried opening it with Paint, then saving it at a smaller size but that didn't work... it stayed smaller, yeah, but then the whole image was surrounded by white when I added it to the sig... any help?

    Here's how i do.
Open youre signature (about 420x120) and then drag the render into the picture, that will make a new layer (if you dont know how to get the render list just tell me)
and then rightclick on the new layer (in the layer list) and take scale layer scale it down a bit and then take your rod klick on the black suface and press delite (if there are to much/ to little that comes of high the Threshold. and one other good thing is to take youre blur tool and blur the way around the render. that will make it more into the picture Have fun!

What i like to do with text that you cant nearly see is to make the exact same text but in black and move it under the normal text (in layerlist) then put it slightly down/left. this will make a shadowy look
