You can edit C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\NCSOFT\WildStar\User.ini

Yes, that's it. localhost means the client tries to connect to the server running local on your computer.

Well obviously your client will try to connect to the server on localhost then. If there is none then it will just tell you that it failed to connect.

No, without a server you can't even get to char creation.

This actually work, however Wildstar give me the error "Cannot connect to NCSoft login services" even thaugh the server is running on my pc.

Any hint on this problem?

Are you sure the server is running properly?

this means your client and server build versions are different (maybe server to old and for the client?).

Yea I think that's the problem I'm running 6218 build, the server version I am not sure what it is, authserver says Version="v4.0" I guess I'm stuck
