No need to repair your Crafting Station

Whenever a plug on your farm expires, it's function becomes inactive and you're unable to interact with it.

When your Crafting Station expires, just stand near it and open your tradeskill window manually and craft away, no need to repair weekly as it's only preventing you from interacting with it via the "Interact" keybind (F by default).

I've found this only works with the Crafting Station, as your Storage Unit and Vending Machine both require interactions.

This is mostly a bug, expect it to be fixed soon.
