Removing armoring from pvp gear

Have any more details exactly? I just hit 40 and put on all the lvl 40 pvp commendation gear, but didnt have any expertise except on the weapon enhancements.
But if I didnt know any better my damage in pvp shot up a lot.

What he means is, he took the lvl 40 pvp gear and put in lvl 50 mods from the champion gear, so he LOOKS like a noob but has fully modded gear.

The "fix" also removed the armoring that I had put back into my Columni chest. I removed it to see if it would work, re-added it back in last night and all was fine. Login today and my chest has 7 armor and no armoring in it anymore. Awesome.

I added a Barrel from the Columni offhand weapon, and it is still there.

Ahh I tried playing around with this before but didnt work.
So only the barrel/armoring is supposed to raise the lvl on the gear?
I already have 400 cyber and artificing and highest char is 40.
I'd love a little "boost"

Yep they're being pretty quick on these...

Fixed an exploit that allowed the removal of Armoring item modifications that were not intended to be available for removal on Artifact quality items.
