I am wondering if this ban is more for someone else reporting you in WZ or something. The reason doesnt fit botting.

This is for botting, I challanged it on my band and got the following email...

So yea it is this space bot. I don't get it either, I too noticed that I got the suspension just after my account renewed as well. And when I got the band, I had not used the bot for over three weeks. I don't know why it takes them so long to issue the band.

That figures. I wonder what the ratio of credit card to game cards is for bans. Have only credit card users been banned/suspended? I only use game cards and haven't got banned yet. And believe me....I bot ALOT. Although I have been using the schedule feature with a variance but it does seem very suspicious that they would wait until after they charged your credit card to ban you.
Well.
A few things to note:
- The BioWare security team keeps track of these threads, so any new information available to the community is also readily available to them.
- Lucky's isn't the only bot affected, which would imply that changes/randomizations in the programming might not help (not that I'm unwilling to try).
- The only constant I've observed in reading through these suspension/ban threads is that accounts with longer periods of "normal" play, and/or more high level characters, seem less likely to be targeted.
Be careful out there. Also, this:
Hide your wife, hide your kids, hide your illicitly botted virtual space ship, BioWare security is comin' for you!

Update 5.35 R258
This is a just a small maintenance revision:
- Corrected an add session display error
- Timer and session variables will now properly reset upon [F2] stop or bot restart
The latest revision is up and available for download.

3 accounts banned within a week, they can detect this somehow
I posted a while back about a problem I'm having at the moment.. The bot is completing one or two runs of a particular mission and then the cursor just moves in a triangle on the bridge my my ship..
Here's my sysinfo..
Luckys Spacebot v5.35 x86 (R257)
System details: X64 CPU, WIN_7(X64) Service Pack 1
RAM total:15 GB,free:11 GB, used:27 %
Desktop dimensions: 1440x900(32bpp, 61Hz)
Desktop theme: Aero using NormalSize, NormalColor, 96dpi
SWTOR Client is running with 1024x766
SWTOR Window:0,0 Win size:1040x804
Color scheme: Aero
On Target Time=50
Missile Delay=333
Timer Skew =50
IMG Tolerance=125
HD Status=1
Timing override=4
Mission bonus=4
PSX OTT enabled=1
PSX DBG enabled=4
Last mission=Jabiim Escort
Win / Loss 1 / 0
Also, the Nez Peron Sweep mission won't run along with the other dailies as the screen needs to be moved in order for the cursor to hit the correct spot on the map.. Any ideas who this could be fixed?
Cheers!

This is old news, and the most unlikely scenario. Now cc payments is an interesting idea. I use time cards. Still running 3 accounts 14 50s almost 24/7.
The detects are as simple to see as picking an account and looking ... The bot/s are a dead giveaway and no amount of programming wil change reaction times to match or look human.
It is in no way a system process scan. In a community of 400k where 100-200k users are bot,ing ... Throw.a rock and look. After all what else do they have to do? Dev new content, fix bugs, With the intern staff only that is left in Austin.... Bot busting is the only job to do with their remaining staff . Go go f2p

FYI I surf and post from a completely different network then I run bots on. Tm hit it on the nose where he said bioware see all the posts you see here. Value was famous for community profiling and scanning... On the other hand.
Doubt it. I was botting on a high "normal play" acct and got banned (1 week) earlier this year. never sold a credit, used it primarily as an afk leveling bot Looks like they are keying in on the credit farming space missions that are level 44+. No sense in BW spending time on the lower level ones. credit farmers arent going to be farming those.
I expect them to be using a flag of consecutive similar missions, do some low tech monitoring and then execute the ban. Being that BW is getting all sorts of pressure to keep subs up, i bet they are spending very little on detecting bots/credit farmers.
I think the key question is....What mission were you running when you got banned? i bet youll see a trend there.
