Logging in and debugging while it's running makes it a whole lot easier though.
    Interesting. Thanks for this info.

So, anyone else making progress? I managed to start the patcher without logging in. Now I'm stuck, I have to figure out the exact package name for the current beta build. My closest guess is http://manifest.swtor.com/sspatch/pl..._he199.package.

Jonnyka, can you please tell us how you did it, so the rest of us will get that far, and then somehow we can do some teamwork all of us here and share what we know so that we can get all the info possible faster

    Yep, that's what we want.

thomas: In the [swtor_installed_folder]/ui/js folder, there are jquery / java scripts that are handling the whole process. Basically I skipped the login process, and went right through the patching. Now of course its just half of the solution, because I have to get some response from the login server, bug that could be emulated later. Right now I have to know the package name, so I can download the current files without logging in.

It's gonna be something like this:
201108101514 INFO Starting patch of product playerclient_he199
    201108101514 SSNFO Patcher_AddPackageList([playerclient_he199_en_us],[http://manifest.swtor.com/sspatch/pl...s.packagelist]) successful
    201108101514 SSNFO Patcher_AddPackage([playerclient_he199],[http://manifest.swtor.com/sspatch/],[D:\games\Star Wars - The Old Republic\]) successful
201108101514 SSNFO Attempt to retrieve package [http://manifest.swtor.com/sspatch/pl...he199.package] // it's a valid file, so yay at this point

    201108101514 SSNFO [playerclient_he199] State change [PATCHER_STATE_IDLE] to [PATCHER_STATE_PREPARE]
    201108101514 SSNFO Start download []
    201108101514 SSNFO [playerclient_he199_38_Progressive.solid]
    201108101514 SSNFO [D:\games\Star Wars - The Old Republic\playerclient_he199_p\]

201108101516 SSNFO Download failed [Unable to initialize content from meta file] // error here, he199 is not the current patch
... where 'playerclient' is the name of a product (it could be 'retailclient', and a bunch of other stuff), and 'he199' is the release name (or branch name). So I'm pretty sure about 'playerclient', but I don't know the name of the current branch.

No, it's not. And if you say so (twice, wierd), it's clear that you don't really see things through. But thanks anyway. I suggest you keep digging the .js files!

Well thomas why don't you fold a team and figure it out how to do it? I mean would be something really great for this community.

Thank you, you can open a file, guess you're pro after all. I'm telling you, if you really wanna help, start digging the .js files, because the whole logging / patching / client starting process is in there. Start with swtor.js, and swtor_ajax.js. Then get to swtor_launching.js, and swtor_patchprogress.js. That's the 4 files where the good stuff is at.

Here's a patch log from a successfull patching process. Hope it helps:
