set "showDamage" under "MinimapSymbol" in your Settings.ahk to false

Correct, previously it was possibly to distinguish between the chests and from that figure out the rewards, that have been changed so there's no way to do it anymore.

You can't, you need add the option "showMods" to 'MinimapSymbol' plugin.
