I'm not sure I understand your problem,try change Follower mode from "local" to "network".

that is already setup correctly but does anyone have a screenshot of where i can make the follower use skills and level up gems i feel like an idiot and am not seeing it

If you're getting "Denied" (probably something like permission denied) then it means that your Windows is accepting a new connection on your specified hostname and port. And that means that you've not run "netsh ..." command. Check that.

You should specify what TOS against things you've used and what you've done.

You should specify what TOS against things you've used and what you've done.

Fair enough. The account was created specifically for this addon, I was using the Run as limited account for Hud and I had modified the gppk with the basic/free versions of null effects.

No cheat engines map hacks or anything. No RMT obviously, but items were muled from my main account.

Me & My friend got accounts banned too. Follower and PoeNull(private) , nothing else, on vmwares.

Just out of interest, what level are the accounts that have been banned? And what have you guys been doing with them in game?

None of my accounts are banned, I run 3 on comps and 3 on vms. Haven't played much over the past week though.

I stayed in hideout for 10 hours a day. Didn't use follower for long only to level from 1-25.

Main no ban, just followers. So could be either vmware ban or follower, can't tell. But afaik ggg allows to use vmware.
