brightness is currently disabled and won't work but expanse and light height should work

It's not something I could teach but you could start by doing the tutorial from the help menu.

I personally saw some wicked mofos streaming with cheats and get reasonable bans
just use it for your personal purpose not for public, and it's gonna be a smooth sail

When you go into the dip the light expanding out from you is blocked by the walls but there's no less light in the surrounding area than normal.
