I have a few suggestions for this, it would be cool to have certain sound warnings for different things such as Gemcutters/Artisans/Exiles on loading, or when those are close to you, same for wealth/inner treasure.

This is already in the tool.. I would like to see a notification for shrines though that would be nice.

Ev, i would seriously let you TeamViewer into my machine to help me figure out what the hell is going on. mine only works when i start windows into a clean environment (i.e., turn EVERYTHING except MS services off in msconfig.exe) and now even that's sketchy. any ideas?

would it conflict with any of the other tools like guruD's zoom/fullbright/map hacks or the POE Multiscript?

also, for those looking for a base offset... every time i update POE multiscript it says "new base pointer found!" and it prints it in its window, in the case it's 0x8002c4, is that what you guys are lookin for?

What exactly is happening? Black screen? Looked through your posts and couldn't find anything. I don't know if everything works when running it together with other tools but the all the graphical stuff (minimap, healthbars) should always work.



Also, here is a potential blackscreen fix that I've forgotten to add to the first post (tl;dr disable FXAA):

• Go to NVIDIA Control panel (don't know the details for other GPUs)
• Manage 3D Settings
• Make sure "Antialiasing - FXAA" is set to Off on global settings
• Apply

Hey Evozer! This is a great and very very useful tool for PoE. Just wanted to say thank you for keeping this updated and still going. One question tho is will this ever be able to detect waypoints on the mini-map? I'm one of those people who feel like they have to get every waypoint but I can never seem to find some or I have to search the entire map just to find it (lower prison, gardens, etc.

i don't have nvidia or anything like that, i play this bad boy on the blistering insanity of integrated intel HD graphics ZOMG... i'll google around a bit and figure out if there's some FXAA option in the bios or windows display settings or somethin
at any rate, here's all the symptoms i can remember:
1.) only worked when i started windows in selective startup with all other services (besides the MS ones) disabled. now... i don't think it works either way.
2.) i used to play this on an extra display; it worked there. i haven't tested it on it since the last time i had it on there, which is a few versions ago
3.) when i run it, i can see it in the startbar. i can hover over it (but when it shows a thumbnail of the content, there's nothin there...) the client hacks work... that is to say, i can zoom out, the map is revealed and fullbright is on. i can't zoom out too much else the blackness invades!
4.) i've never had a black screen problem! this should be an interesting monkey wrench in your troubleshooting.
5.) i think in the beginning i may have installed slimdx 64 as i see the exe in my download folder. however, i don't think i ever installed it; as i recall you gave me a link to the files that the installer would have installed... and had me place those files into the exileHUD folder... maybe this could have somethin to do with it? either way, i couldn't find options to uninstall slimsx 64 in windows' built in uninstaller, and some other tool i have, so maybe i didn't install it

that's all i can think of. personally i haven't had a problem playing with it under these circumstances but now it just doesn't work.

it's likely due to the retarded collection of protective measures microsoft packages with windows (i.e., can't install SHIT without right-click -> admin priv) but any ideas are welcome. i have a feeling it's got something to do with the way i had to install slimdx...

now that i jogged all this up, i'm actually gonna try some shite. but spew any ideas anyway.

Is there a way to highlight the item that shows up on the alert text? A lot of loot and harder to search.. Not important, but suggestion.

I wrote out a reply about what we are doing/going to do about people using third party programs but ended up deleting it. It's just too useful for them to know any specifics.

Now I'm worried... They're banning people who use maphack through manual checks, but eventually they'll have a program on the server to check or in the client that is loaded from out computers I guess? Ugh... I just found this tool too.

easy solution. dont use maphack and zoomhack. those are the only 2 wich write to Memory. all the rest are memory reads, and cant be detected that easy.
(maybe read process list but if the processses are random named its nearly impossible there too).

Has anyone had an issue where it says that alert.wav couldn't be found. I have two friends and they are both having the same issue, it worked perfectly for me though, and perfectly for another friend. I checked and he has alert.wav, i made sure he ran as admin and had him install .net framework 4.5.1 to make sure that he was up to date. Does anyone have any clue what the issue might be, i'll probably go over there today to check it out myself and make sure he's doing everything right, but from what he's telling me i can't figure out anything that would cause it to happen.

They've banned people for "maphack". Not technical detection persay like other games do with hack detection, but through patterns off how you play. They'll implement some sort of solution to the third party hacks, but how/when is another story.
