Is there any one on win8/8.1 able to run this tool? I tried all the recommendations from Evozer but still getting a black screen when the tool is up. As soon I close it, the black screen goes away and I can see the game again.
I think the aero theme is default on win8.1 and I have the one that came with it (default). Also the desktop composition is on by default on win8.1 as we can see here:

"In Windows 8, Desktop Window Manager (DWM) is always ON and cannot be disabled by end users and apps. As in Windows 7, DWM is used to compose the desktop. In addition to experiences enabled in Windows 7, now DWM desktop composition enables desktop composition for all themes, support for Stereoscopic 3D, and management, separation, and protection of the experience with Windows Store apps." Source.

I've also tried to change the compatibility to win7 but no luck.

This is really quite awesome. I know that there are some bugs and support for Steam (and probably Garena) versions are apparently lacking. Would you be interested in collaborating on it? I can bring a lot of experience to the table.

I have run it myself on a Windows 8.1 laptop and it worked, don't know why it doesn't for you though since I didn't have to change any settings to make it run.

Ran into some problems with the way I was rendering previously so I changed the method. Also did some changes to reduce CPU usage, especially in areas with lots of effects, monsters and items on the ground. There is a small new feature: whenever you hover over an item in your inventory or stash the itemlevel of the item will be rendered in the tooltip. Next on my todo-list is reflect alert and better resolution scaling.

Okay, I noticed that the new rendering method was much slower than the old one so I managed to fix the problem I was having and reverted to the old method. Back to 60 fps

Hello there,

I tried your latest version and now there's no more black screen. I haven't change any settings on win8.1.
As soon I opened the tool I saw the life bars on top of player. I removed that by doing this:
#Healthbars;
EnableHealthbars=false;
HealthbarDrawEnergyShield=false;
I reopened the tool and no more health bars. The item alert was working but I couldn't see mobs, boxes or anything on mini-map (top right screen) and nor on big map (Tab). On settings.txt the map line is:
#Minimap;
EnableMinimap=true;
I'll take a closer look on the tool now. Come back later to say anything new.

New version!

Added a warning for physical reflect, elemental reflect and rogue exiles. It works by playing a sound (just a voice saying "warning") and displaying a text on the screen while you are close to the monster. If you only want the text or only the sound you can disable one of them in the settings. By the way, if you want to use your own sounds just replace the files in the sounds folder. The format must be .wav and the file name must be identical to mine.

Also, does anyone know if there is a way to download the steam and garena executables without downloading the entire clients?

First and foremost, awesome work. I have been missing something of this nature since pushedx stopped public work on ECP.
Second, toss up a donation link some time.

EDIT : Ignore the donation remark if the bitcoin info was already present Didnt see it. Though, a cash option would be great too.

Lastly, this works perfect on my desktop. However, it refuses to run on my wife's laptop.

She is running on Win 7 Ult x64. Runs the game in windowed mode. Both Aero and Composition are verified to be enabled. And she is running on .Net 4.5.1, I also went back to 4.0 just in case 4.5.1 was still too new and was causing an issue, but had the same result.

Anyone with any ideas as to what could be causing the issue? I can provide error reports and such if it would help.
