2 questions:

1) If I set up a task for a slot that isn't opened up yet, how will APBU handle it?
2) If I set up tasks that are higher level than the profession, how will APBU handle that?

I'm about to hit level 20 Leadership on some characters, but I'm going away for the weekend and I don't think I'm going to get there before I have to leave.

I'd like to set up tasks for the slots that aren't open yet as well as set up Level 20 tasks on the slots that already are open.

for question 1) when the slot are free APBU launch the task.
for question 2) i d'ont know but i think he do a loop because can't do the task.

Actually got out of work a bit early and made it home to test this.

1) If you assign a task to a slot that is not yet open, APBU sees the slot as free and continually times out trying to start the task. Once it hits the 'Max Timeouts' counter, it relogs as intended.

2) If APBU cannot start a task because it is above the current profession level, it will also time out. This is easy to solve by running the slot in 'First Possible' mode and making sure the final task is "always doable".

BTW, that loud banging noise you hear is my head hitting my desk repeatedly because the Gateway picked today to start ****ing up again. 5 instances of APBU running FLAWLESSLY and constant timeouts on the 1 instance that I'm trying to test with.

Thanks Base for the detailed reply, I've been tweaking my setup over the past few weeks based on your explanation and things are running quite a bit smoother now. I've also learned that I need to limit each slot to 1-2 tasks max to make it through my characters with any kind of regularity due to frequent timeouts, but that's my craptacular connection.

However, now that I've been able to get my script running for longer periods of time, I've been having the problem that others have described where the application stops responding and begins gobbling up memory until the computer runs out. I've recently enabled the log to file option, and have collected a couple of scenarios from the last few days. Each snippet from the log file starts by switching to a particular characters and ends with me restarted the application, without anything removed. I am running v0.4.1b. If you need additional details, let me know.

Anyone else having issues reaching the Gateway?

I start APBU and all I get is a grey screen instead of the login.

If I try to access via Chrome or Firefox, I just have a blank white page?

I thought I might have gotten banned, but I can still log in to all my accounts.

Last time this happened to me I needed to change my ip address. It appears they have a 'security' feature that locks out an ip for a certain amount of time (don't know how long) if you try to log in too many times. For me what happened is a couple of my accounts needed a new code entered and I didn't notice for ~8 hours (was during sleeping hours) so they would fail to log in and go through the log in retry every couple of minutes. This seemed to trigger what ever protection they have. I simply changed the mac address on my router got a new ip address and had no further issues.

and when i'm at home with my fiber connection thes work perfectly.

I got access denied when trying to open the extracted exe in windows 8.1..

Anyone with similar problems and how to fix it? Or are this program not compaatible with the newer versions of windows?

I really like the program and would appreciate it if two features get added.

1) Auto Start: After starting the application the bot is automatically started after a given time (to make sure the page got loaded). This will only work if auto login is enabled.
2) Auto Exit: After the bot has finished processing all characters of an account the application exits.

Both features would be of great help. I'm in the process of creating a controller program that lets me handle multiple accounts and avoid problems with the bot getting stuck. Unfortunately it currently has to click on the start button. This is a bad thing because it requires control of the mouse. Sending a mouse message to the application doesn't work.

Is there any chance these features will get added?

Might work if you open the xml file in Notepad, fix the name and then save the file in UTF-8 format. Or it might not. Worth trying.

I suffer the exact same problem and it seems like it's very random in terms of 'when' it happens. For instance, I can go 4-5 days without a problem - or, it could happen an hour after I restart APBU. I do try not to touch it when it's working properly, but just this week after running it straight for 4 days without issues, I decided it was about time to prevent it from dying. I restarted APBU completely and started it back up before going to sleep around midnight. When I woke up in the morning, the last log entry was 00:30 meaning APBU only ran for half an hour before locking up and eating up all my memory. While the computer didn't restart, it was stuck with a massive memory usage (over 5GB) and the computer would barely function until I restarted it completely. The for the past 2 days, APBU will randomly hang with a black screen or crash due to a memory over-usage. This isn't specific to a particular computer as this happens on 3 other computers I have tested with. I was hoping many some other community members may have some insight. I love APBU but no idea why this happens to me on an inconsistent basis. Thanks to anyone who may have some contributions!

With the recent witch hunt going on to catch people who exploited a resonator bug in Protectors enclave, should we shut down our profession bots for a while in case they might notice this if they are indeed searching for irregular things?

They might just be looking into the resonator thing but not sure.

I am not overly concerned... but then I truly don't care anymore after this last exploit. All folks that got bans... er I mean holidays of 3 - 7 days are back. Items and AD all intact...... they lost nothing. What was the punishment really?

I really need to find a way to be on the inside scoop of these things. I know what items was used but no clue how it was used...
