What's not mature about using a tool for automation?

Adults have far less free time to play games and put hours into "farming" for items to advance. Most adults are more interested in the social aspect of MMORPGs and would rather spend their time doing that.

Botting is simply automating tasks in a game, there is nothing immature about it. The idea of botting is not to directly disadvantage someone else, which are what most cheats (which I would guess are more commonly used by a younger crowd) are designed for.

The more vocal minority of botters are likely to be posting on sites such as mmowned, which are more focused towards topics of interest to the younger crowd.

I wouldn't consider botting "cheating" or certainly not in the way that I guess you would define it. It's simply repeating a task in a game.

In terms of breaking contracts, breaking license agreements and terms of use is done every day. For instance, by running WoW, and making a copy of it in RAM, you are breaking the EULA.

Another one, when people terminate their cell-phone service before the end of the contract, they are breaking it.

Def not cheating - human or bot, both are doing the exact same thing.

I have a wife and 2 kids, 3 and 5 years old. I do not have the PM time anymore to constantly GRIND these mmos to keep up with my friends/guild mates that do. The bots at least keep me competitive AND keep my marriage intact...lol

    It's a thinking man's game.

MMOViper | Warhammer Online Bots, Age of Conan Bots, AOC Bots, EverQuest 2 Bots, Lord of the rings online Bots, Macros and Radars

Just had a look there. It's out of beta and updated already. Cost is 4.95. Looks pretty good. I have been trolling the boards over there for a bit and they seem pretty responsive toward bug reports. I still have yet to try it, but for 4.95 I'm getting closer :P

Picked up MMOviper for a 4.95 one month spin. Just my own thoughts

    Pros
+ 4.95 for 1 month is great if you are unsure about a bot, instead of forking 40-100 for one without even a demo :\
+Viper CS team does a great job answering on forums. I had a one on one help session with instant responses and definitely helped me get started.
+ So far in 2 nights of running, it has gotten me 28-31. Not the fastest but 1-40 isnt the big grind of WAR.

    Cons
    - No Scenario Support
    - Very complicated to setup if your not use to MMOviper stuff, coming from glider it was just very basic and rough.
-Couldn't get it to ever use a whole arrangement of abilities. Eventually got a solid combat return of 5 down though.
-Help file is half AoC....coulda least reworded stuff for WAR.
-Not so sure about anti-detection methods once Punkbuster is enabled, this bot is pretty apparent atm.

Given the early stage of bots for WAR, the fact 1-40 is definitely nowhere the grind of RR1-80, and the price of MMOviper. I give the bot 3/5 Stars. Main thing lacking is no scenario support atm and with gold not being a big deal in WAR, once you hit 40 this bot is about worthless. For 4.95 though u can get least 2 toons to 40 though! And Pitviper is a great guy.

I would really like to be able to compare wargoblin to mmoviper since they appear to be the 2 forerunners at the moment, but a lack of a short term subscription or even limited demo version make it unobtainable for me atm. Not worth paying the 44.95 to bot a guy to 40 when I have 2 already :\

Quick review from me (though none of you know me, and might not care).
note: Wargoblin is the only WAR bot ive tried, so im not comparing it to any others, though I have botted in other games.

I've had a pretty good experience with goblin. Been running it for about 3 weeks now with no major problems. So far ive botted a Chosen, Sorcerer and Zealot to various levels. The only issue ive had is that it doesnt always loot the mobs (they flee, etc), but it does a good enough job for me. Setup was easy with the guide, support on the forums is solid, and the patches have been quick. Its not free, but i dont mind supporting the makers.

Havnt had any issues with bans, etc, but i tend to bot while im watching movies/reading books/doing homework, rather then afk.

I only tried wargoblin myself. Leveled a 1-20 toon and a 32-37 toon. Got caught and suspended for 5 days but thats my own fault for botting in popular zone.

You can do some cool things like rvr as well as pve. For Ranged characters rvr looks more natural than you might think and I think actually helps you not get caught. It's also good experience. With routines you can do things like use healer (easy) and send mail (hard) out, but you'll have to program the mouse movements yourself and it'll take hours to get teh kinks out your first time.

has protection features like stop bot on whispers or any phrases you specify like (csr)

Yeah, that's just some asshat that copies posts from various forums into a blog. He does the same for all the WoW stuff.
