Not so much of an exploit and I searched but couldn't find any results.

Basically if you get 4x masterwork dyes and combine them in the mystic forge you can get rare dyes, with Abyss dye worth over 5g 30s at the moment.

The masterwork dyes average around 2s 35c each so there's a huge profit to be made, if you're lucky enough.

Do note though I've tried this myself and lost around a gold or two in the process, as some of the rare dyes are only worth like 80 silver each or so.

Magic find food also helps with results.

Please forgive me if this has been posted before or is in the wrong forum, but hope some people can make some gold from this.

Just tried another method of discovering rare dyes which can be cheaper but there's also more room for a loss.

Bought 10x unidentified dyes and lost around 25 silver.

Bought another 10 and I shit you not I got a black and midnight sky dye + several common dyes.

It's a gamble but again, there's gold to be made if you're willing to take a punt.

While it is certainly a gamble, and you most likely stand to lose money in the long run, for the cost of unidentified dyes versus the price of high-end dyes, it's a pretty reasonable gamble if you're looking for something fun to waste excess gold on.

It's definitely a better rate of return compared to those crappy mystic chests.

tried with about 60s and made only half of it back, not too bad, considering spending 2g or so but not sure ^^

doing this is not profitable in the long run and looking at the # of dyes that have demand will tell you that pretty quickly. if you're gonna gamble throw rare weapons in the mystic forge and hope for legendary precursor and 75g+

there are over 80 rare dyes and only 5 or so are valuable,,, not an realy good gamble chance...

4 X rare weapon over lvl 74 (have not tried below this but 4X74 has given me legendary precursor).

or 3 X weapon + token if you dont mind random weapon type

the ecto market "stabilizes" the lvl 70-80 rare weapon market at 15-20s so this is the real scratch off ticket imo

component for legendary weapon. some are worth more than 75, some less. goes up by 15g/week to match inflation
