You must delete all gold and items gained through the use of the exploit now, or immediately upon the expiration of your suspension, or immediately upon account reinstatement after you have filed a formal appeal and after your account has been reinstated.
If you gained items on a small scale and were not suspended, consider this episode a very firm warning. Delete the items and gold immediately no matter how many or how few."

Really, dont be stupid and think you can get away with 1 or two items, if they can track most then they can track every single item.

Well, lets see if you respond this time around:

There has to be SOMETHING more to this than what you're saying if that's gonna work out:
1) We are all banned from AH, Mail and Guild while we are under this "surveillance".
2) We can't buy/sell stuff from vendors

If you are implying they will delete items if we distribute them to others? What will happen to the money they gave for our items?
Are you really.. really saying they will do it that way.. lol!

If they are, I will give you a salute and never talk against you ever again!

Why are you so angry? You are telling people "go ahead and keep 1 or two items if they are good!" which is the WORST possible advice you can give, especially as a "Contributor" people might actually take you seriously.

Perhaps the items are flagged right now and as soon as you mail them out you will be banned, or the item will be intercepted, we have NO idea how they are tracking them, just that they said they are. So feel free to risk your own account, but don't encourage others because keeping 1 item is going to have the same punishment as keeping 10 -- youll be banned.

I never claimed to be giving any such advice, I was talking against it if you want to be safe.
I only ever said that I am wondering how they will keep track of something like that unless they keep us restricted. If I sell this weapon now I might get 50 gold, I can sell that for 250$. I'd say I can level a new char for that.. no problem :-)!

But hey, I'm not sure. Just saying this is a probability that this is a scare tactic. Maybe they rushed into the bans at first, because they knew, if they banned the accounts permanently the shitstorm would be over. Only to then realize that the community didn't like that kind of dictatorship and then had to revert them to 72H, and rely on their scare tactics instead.

Have you seen how little official statements there have been to this?
You keep making references to some stupid reddit replies by this and that guy, while you also have to understand one thing, and that is that not even 10% of the GW2 userbase reads Reddit, nor will they ever do!

It's highly unlikely that even 10% has gone longer than to send in a ticket and wait for their unban.

But oh well, we'll see man! If we see exotics at the top of AH tomorrow, you'll see what I mean

They can't possibly check all of the (way above 3000 by the way) accounts, if they can't even do something simple as answer to emails in time. What are you using?.. lol.
This is a scare tactic. I say, delete your weapons. But don't be too scared to keep one or two, they're not even specifying what items you need to delete.

In the coming hours, we will be restoring account access to those who were suspended for exploiting the bugged vendor prices for the Norn Cultural weapons. Not everyone will have access restored right away. In some cases we are awaiting more information from the player, and some appeals are still coming in. We will address each appeal as quickly as we can.

We’d like to remind everyone that we do not seek to punish, and any time a drastic measure like this is taken, it is taken to maintain the health and integrity of the game. As we reinstate these accounts, we expect everyone who appealed to honor their commitment to destroy all illegitimate gains, whether those are crafting items, currencies, or the weapons themselves. To remove currencies, making a purchase of appropriate value and destroying that purchase will suffice.

We would also like to acknowledge that we are not free from blame. In a game this big, problems inevitably occur that are difficult to locate , and moving forward we will continue to address these issues in a timely, communicative and efficient manner. What constitutes an exploit, and what has resulted in these suspensions, is using a flaw in the game to gain an unfair advantage over other players that is clearly not in line with the design of the game. Please remember, opportunity does not equal permission.

We also understand that sometimes the consequences of such an exploit may not be clear or apparent. In these cases, try to think about how the actions of one player can affect the millions of other players, or the in-game economy as a whole. In your appeals, many of you stated that you only purchased large quantities of weapons to use for personal gain and not for profit. Such an act devalues the time and effort put forth by every other player who opts not to take advantage of an exploit. We will be publishing a FAQ on exploits soon.

On the subject of your appeals, most of you expressed understanding for the decisions that we made . For that, we are deeply appreciative. Going forward, we will strive to maintain only the highest of standards for the game and the community, and we ask that you do the same.

As one player noted in his appeal, we have the opportunity to work together to forge a legendary MMO experience and that is not something we take for granted. If you encounter any other bugs or anything suspicious in game, please feel free to report it by typing “/bug” in-game, or by sending an e-mail to [email protected].

That is exactly my opinion. Would it be so hard to send an automated mail to every account that has been suspended? Instead they post some stuff on reddit that, as you said, only a minor part of the GW2 players follow. In my opinion this has been very badly handled by Anet and all this gives me doubts that they are even able to handle the workload of controlling every item bought.

I will keep my items and take the risk. But I am one of those that purchased many items and only got a 72h suspension. If I had been perm banned and asked for a 72h suspension and deleting all items I obviously would not keep them. Also if I get any notice by Anet (via email, ingame note or whatever) I will of course follow it. But until then they can't just assume that I read their little post on reddit.

And please don't flame me with "Have fun with your perm ban". I know the risk and am simply highly interested in seeing what happens, if anything.
