initially i intended to be an ass about it, but i liked their response, so i went chill.

as far as i know, 2 minutes ago i remove all the items i got from this action. (all were in my bank)
i dint sell, dint salvage, dint put any in bank/guild bank/trade post.

if i oversight something, please let me know before you take any measure against my account, i can assure you i missed it because of an oversight/mistake maybe, not willingly.

I didn't delete anything, but wasn't an idiot like some people trying to sell on trading post. I'm keeping my 80 exotic legendary weapons. Honestly the ban kinda turned me off from the game. I tried playing today and was bored out of my mind. I'll probably exploit the game when something new appears as I really don't care what happens. When i initially got banned i was kind of relieved as the 4 days prior where waste on playing about 60 hours. Guess I burned out my experience too fast.

I don't think it helps when you spam those tickets.

Made only one ticket myself and there weren't any status changes or updates for 72 hours and after that just last night/morning it got approved and same time I was unbanned.

So were there any brave souls that kept the weapons? Mine are already gone but I'm curious as to if ArenaNet was lying about the whole tracking thing (would be useful information for future reference).

Let's say (and I've heard rumours that their logs are intense like this) they right a database query as a first level check and were able to deduce that 2000 or 2500/3000 players had done what they were told, then they would only manually need to check the other 500 accounts.

Let's say it takes 5 minutes to check if someone has exploited, and let's assume it takes 3 checks within a span of 1 week (just to make sure), that's 7500 minutes, or 125 man hours. Assuming 40 hour shifts, they'd need to dedicate maybe 3.5 headcount to this for a week in their customer service / GM team.

So you are going to have to be very innovative in how you do this if you don't wanna get banned because the check is extremely likely to happen (and it is in their favour to catch a few cheaters and ban say 100 accounts and publicise it)

that nobody will get banned on follow-up if there even is a follow up. im willing to bet 3 rep to anyone that we don't even hear about a 2nd banwave that is specifically meant to catch everyone who didn't delete.

that being said i deleted all my items except the karma64k that i could equip. but part of me wishes i hadnt


edit: the thing that REALLY pisses me off about this game is that it seems like its just FULL of people with a real chip on their shoulder for hackers/botters/hardcore players, reporting the shit out of everyone. today i was farming lvl 80 mobs in orr spewing out of a broken event and some chowderhead came up to me and said "hope you know you're farming a broken event and i just reported you. bye". i had been there for 30 minutes....not like 48 hours. its like everyone's a total reddit pansy...
