Change permmanent bann for 72h bann

Any idea how we can keep the weapon in such a way to acoid the re-ban? Will they check 1 by 1?

I think they planned to give everyone a 2nd chance all along. This scare tactic should make everyone think twice about abusing well publicized exploits. Also did you noticed they shut down sales of the game on their main site so their retailers could sell some keys instead? Thought that was funny.

I'd say everyone that has been banned for this should just wait a couple of days as I think it will "fix" itself. We've been banned for buying cheap items, the fault was clearly on their side. Either they fix it by doing a rollback / removing the items by themselfes or leave everything as it is now or they'll have thousands of players being banned for no reason but buying cheap items. Bug usage.

I got a 72h ban just one hour ago. So I don't think you are safe yet.

What I'm really curious about is wether or not the 72h bans should delete their items too. I mean without any sort of direct notice to me in form of a message at login or an email it is completely possible that I just stayed out of the game's news and notices for 3 days and then continued playing without knowing I should delete those Items.

So I am pretty sure that if you don't get any notice from Anet you are good to go on keeping your stuff.

Way to post this in public after I posted the idea in Elite an hour ago (although it's not an advanced idea, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt).

The safest way I could think of is to vendor the items, buy more items (to burn the silver you made) and then destroy those items. So you no longer have your "exploited items or the silver from them.

ArenaNet checks your account, sees you got rid of the items, you pass (if they ask you why you sold them like that, say you didn't know how to destroy them, then someone told you how or whatever).

You go back to the vendor and Buy Back the items. GG

Problem is we have no idea when they'll check the accounts. They'd have to check it before the next server restart or else the plan would be ruined (and you'd have to know when they checked it otherwise you'd have to wait for days before feeling safe enough to buy them back).

Normally I'd try to bypass this as I'm 100% sure ArenaNet doesn't have the man power to do proper follow-ups to ensure the items were deleted (which is why they're resorting to scare tactics), but my account is worth more to me than Dusk/Dawn, I'll just earn them again some other way.

haha sorry man. i honestly didnt check that section yet before i posted the idea! ill -rep myself right now by repeatedly touching my hand to my groin.

im partially trolling because the reality is that im going to delete my items because i want to play the game and i think there is a HUGE chance they will ban me if i do anything other than delete the item.
