Just restarting the old beta client has the same effect, it will redownload a new launcher wich in turn will download the current version of the beta client.

This client seems to be confirmed now. Was a official post on forums:

Link doesn't work anymore, although but it was directed to same Gw2.exe

They also wrote in that post that if you have problems, try to run as admin. Kinda the usual stuff =)

There are quite a few links to various Guild Wars 2 client floating around at the moment. If some of the links above don't work, or you don't trust them - just pop into #GuildWars2 IRC channel on Quakenet and they will be able to give you a link.

Personally I'm just using the old Guild Wars 2 Closed Beta client to update with (it resets your files and downloads a new client).

Not sure what there would be to not trust about the gw2.exe file coming directly from the guildwars2.com domain. If you don't trust the link copy and paste the link into your browser.
