Banned for Botting?

Just curious as to how many have been banned for using the current bots out there (teleport gathering, fate grinding, fishing bots e.t.c)

Does Square enix have in place any sort of method to detect bots? Or, have all bans so far been solely based on player reporting.

Why do you bot yet at the same time report botters? The hell kind of double standard is this?

Anyways, unless you are a gil seller, no, they cannot tell if you are a bot. However, there has been a wave of bans recently for doing the new coil raid "unethically". Not even bans, just a suspension. So they are watching these instances closely.

why the **** would you report botters? scrub. Never ceases to amaze me how stupid kids are these days. Apart from drawing attention to yourself your ruining it for yourself as well as the rest of the community. Way to ostracize yourself.

He's what they call a sociopath i believe. Rules dont apply to him. We are all here for his enjoyment. He is like the drug dealer who is a snitch. He actually believes he's somehow eliminating the competition except he'd be the first one SE would look at after several reports.

FWIW ive had 4 accounts banned. They are getting pretty strict on it. Gil isnt really needed in this game so its not even worth doing unless your trying to run a bot farm or something. No suspensions, ban ban ban and guilty until proven innocent.

No bans for the MMOViper. Viper is a gather/grinding/crafting bot. No teleporting in it, which is prob why no bans. Teleporting is sooo easy to detect.

Can i just ask out of curiosity, what type of botting was it that got your accounts banned? Do they just ban all accounts based on association?

I botted for one month and didn't get banned, just don't use the teleport and it's fine i think.

I'm botting like a "SuCkEr" since 1.0 and now I'm using telehack, sprint hack and gathering bot ... well lets just say thank god that my character still kicking lol

Have been botting 8 characters on daily basis, none of them got banned before.

Been banned for 72 hours a while back for farm TP botting first coil
