CCP Employs New Serverside Botting Detection

Recently, CCP has made new detections methods to find botters and macro users, as announced at the EVE fanfest. I have personally lost two of my accounts until April 9th from this. I advise that macro users stop for the time being, or use at their own risk.

Any details about what your bot was doing when banned?

I'm not sure what injecting they would be monitoring, I've got multiple roid farmers going and using a Autopilot distance hack for my haulers, both use python injection, no issues so far but I'll post back if that changes

Both of my 2 botting accounts were unbanned yesterday. One of them was still active, so I went on and salvaged everything I could: ore, ships, and ISK. I still possessed everything I had before the account suspensions. My other account was inactive, so I used the 4 hour time period they give you to use PLEX to take everything off of it. To my surprise, I managed to gather over 2 billion ISK from these two accounts.

Is there currently a bot for EVE that is completely memory-passive but not based on OCR? Any kind of injection (including a very basic change to the default autopilot warp distance, for example) is quite easily detectable by CCP if they have any kind of intelligence.

For WoW I used to use a bot that was completely passive (i.e. it read client memory and then used keyboard and mouse drivers to provide commands to the application layer as if it was the human doing it) and it took Blizzard a loooong time to make Warden so huge and invasive that it was able to detect those, and that is a multi-billion dollar company. But for EVE, I imagine a passive-based bot would probably stay undetectable for quite a while.

That sounds exactly like E2. It reads client memory and then uses keyboard and mouse messages to tell the client what to do.

but this means you cannot use your pc while it runs, you need to use a virtual machine.

also by using a VM chances of detection drop to 0%?

Most bots that use keyboard/mouse just use windows hooks to emulate keyboard/mouse movement. shouldn't actually affect your mouse/keyboard.
