Ok who remembers Diablo when you could dupe like mad? They used to store everything CLIENT side which made for LOL chaos.
I used to dupe everything and just drop it and watch newbies pick up.

you talking bout the exploit that you bug the item in your invatory than send the sell packet on the item id and it would mass sell that item to the store?
I think he is probably talking about the original Diablo where all you needed to do was drop it, walk away, pick up a potion from your bar, and then drop the potion RIGHT as you pick it up.
That was an amazing game btw =P
EDIT: oh wait, just read the title.
EDIT2: Oh, and wrong http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/diab...blo-3-general/

Out of curiosity, why is this posted in the Diablo 3 section if its a Diablo 2 exploit? I understand you want to look back on old times in the game, but that's why there's a gaming chat =/
edit: no need for gaming chat, here you go:

Yes I was referring to D2 I thought, but I guess it could have been Diablo 1.

I still have my CubeDUPE Programs :P Diabolic was the shit. And the character editor!!!! omfg i use to have preloaded profiles i would go into bnet and make "free hax" rooms and just drop EVERYthing in my invintory. and watch all the little newbies pick it up :P it was fun.

Since this has basically become a d2 topic, does anyone remember back in the glory days of d2 when all that bugged shit came out? 4 socket bvalor, 4 socket stormshield, 6 socket occulus staff, etc lol. How exactly did that stuff get into the game? My understanding at the time was that there was a major exploit that allowed people to transfer items from open bnet to closed bnet, and that it was fixed within a few hours but all the bugged shit had already gotten through. I never really bought this explanation because while the stats on the bugged crap was unbelievably good, it was nothing compared to the kind of stuff you could create on open. You'd think they would have xferred some ring that gives +99 to all skills, +1000 absorb to all resistances, +10000 faster cast rate, etc instead of the stuff they did.
you are correct thadd, people figured out how to connect to closed bnet games with open bnet characters.
