What is the logic behind Storm Bolt?

I know it will use it on offensive CD's... and to CC the healer on low HP.
There's probably some other cool stuff that I'm missing too behind the logic lol





Here's the changelog for the latest SVN update:

DRUID
- fixed a bug with lifebloom

MONK
- changed the rotation a bit to increase dps

SHAMAN
- changed the rotation to gain more mana through water shield

Warrior
- killing totems should now be easier

So looking in your Interrupt and Blanket Silence abilities, spell lock are in both (19647). But when I am in arena it never uses it. Optical Blast (115781) works perfect, but spell lock never fires.


I think I found the problem, according to idTip, the spell id for Spell Lock of "Command Demon" is 132409. I'm adding it to your profile and will try it tonight and see if that fixes it.

Edit: I added the spell lock to both interrupts and it was a no go. I might have missed something but its def. not firing.

Cokx is there a way to put a range check on shockwave my friend ? between fat fingers and them LOS at last second I've whiffed a few.

Range check would be awesome but sadly won't help with your LOS problem.

What is the logic behind Storm Bolt?

it's a little screwed up, i've made a huge text of suggestions for sb but no changes so far

the most annoying thing is that it follow every cc so it uses storm bolt just after my shockwave.. or it prefer to sb warlock who is bursting instead of warrior bursting.. and it use storm bolt on melees who are bursting but they're already disarmed

automated sb should only be on healer when there isn't any dr on stuns, if you want to sb some1 else for peels, do it youself

pls, cokx if you can remove all these broken logics

oh and i got another idea but it could fail, same as intervene/mass spell reflect at the same time: profile should charge some1 who is casting fists of fury, mana tea or important cc spells like cyclone, hex.. it should try to charge before using mass spell reflect

atm, reflects are a little broken or you need 10ms, for example in 2s, i never reflect cause it try to reflect ns clones, ns hex and it fails cause im playing with 50ms (latency not pqr check delay)

so, cokx, is the auto reflect is working or not? if pqr can't reflect ns CCs, just code reflects for casted spells

The profile pops MSR when it detects any unit within range uses PoM / NS etc, it WILL get the reflect if they take longer than 0.1 sec to cast the spell after using NS, however if they have a NS Hex / Clone / Poly macro etc, it will be too fast.

Ok, that's what I said, auto reflect on PoM/NS is useless because every1 use a macro for NS/Pom Clone/Hex/Polymorph Focus...

But I still think reflect on PoM/NS Macros work if you have a VERY VERY good latency, that's why Cokx implemented this. So, now it's time to delete this logic or make a different profile without NS Reflects because most of the players have 30-50ms I think

I'm pretty sure he can implement 2 checks. One when pressed and one before the profile executes the actual spell. Also, cokx are you still planning to implement alert notifications to the warrior profile ?

I get NS hex, clone a lot and my MS is about the same as yours lol

As for Stormbolt, I like it when Im not running KFC or something with a hunter. Just remove it from the rotation.

I dont like auto storm bolt so i change the code to use it manually. I dont have experience in coding but i changed to this and its working very well. Also added storm bolt in settings.

The only issue I have with "Auto Storm Bolt" is when the profile tries to use it on a Warrior who has Popped Recklessness and is Bladestorming. It is wasted EVERY TIME this happens, and seeing as Warrior representation is so high, it happens a LOT.

Is there some code we can add in:

I have no idea how to code it, but to me that should say to the profile "the target is bladestorming, don't use Storm Bolt"

I play with 14-17 ms and I'm reflection 80% of ns/pom's

LOS check on shockwave wont work.
And there isnt a range check for shockwave yet. Because this might not work in a BG, if I tell the profile to check if someone is in range in a 120° cone, and the unit you wanna shockwave isnt targeted by you or anyone else, the profile doesnt know that it exists so it wont shockwave since its blind. I doubt that you want something like this.

@ Stormbolt: this will be changed as soon as I've finished the DR-Tracker, but just for now please remove it if it doesnt fit your playstyle otherwise I had to rewrite it two times

There will be a few new settings with the DR-Tracker such as : automated CC only on non DR'ed units

And the selfmade macros will be improved:

you will only need 2 macros
it will follow these rules
first cast on the unit that has offensive cds up or defensive (aura mastery etc)
2ndcast on a unit that isnt targeted by anyone
3rd cast on healer/dps (depends on you macro) that isnt your target
if there is noone else of this type (heal/dps) in range cast on your target

and it will be possible to check for DR's and check for unitbuffs/debuffs

Is there anyway you could put in logic for using healing touch with soul of the forest on resto druid profile? Also when using incarnation and going tree form the profile will just shapeshift back out and waste the entire cd.

I would like a Enemy Buff Check for Spell Refelect/Mass Reflect.
Like RunMacroText("/cancelcast") if your Casting Cyclone/Hex and more.
That would be srsly awesome since my PlateBuffs doesnt recognize those 2 Buffs.
