Having never played it, thoughts on the game? Just heard about it today.

Worth the time? How does it compare to D4? POE 2?

Good middle ground between PoE and D4 basically. Game is fun so far, but massive server issues (that they are working on resolving).

There is an offline mode if you don't care about the online aspect. You can mod whatever you want in that mode.

Might have to give it a try then. Need something to quench my thirst while I wait for AOE 2

Agree with Sychotix. Game is pretty fun although i spent as much time in loading screens as playing since Wednesday. Wish they would fix the server issues already. How they didn't anticipate this is beyond me.

Its 4 days after launch now and still cant connect to server / have infinite loading screens

I mean... they had like 6k people playing on steam before 1.0 release and they're at 232k on steam. I think the issues have been bottlenecks in their services, not in server resource issues. There are so many services involved... you never know what might cause an issue. Got 100 servers up and running but need more? Lets scale that up. Shit... now all the servers are having issues because our logging services can't handle that many requests at once. Shit, now the logging services are pounding our databases too hard... now we've gotta distribute that more... but thats going to take a ton of code.

Running services at this scale is HARD.

Game released with good old item and gold dupes readily available in online play (working as of me typing this out, 23:29 05/03/2024). I'm sure if you seek you're going to find, it's extremely easy to dupe stuff rn, and to amass massive amounts of gold as a result. Good luck!
