GPU memory viewer to dump them to standard format ?

Well the topic title is pretty much the question it self.

I was not sure where to post this sort of question so if this is the wrong section please move it.


I would like to know what programs could i use to dump a game texture image from the memory ? i heard it could be done but i am not sure how it is done or with programs are there for it, and searching the term didnt helped much.
