Programming help PL0X?

I would like to start writing things like hacks and addons for WoW, i do know some of the language VB.net but im pretty sure its useless for WoW
can anyone give me a hint at what i need to get into?
i have heard things about C#
another question i have; is LUA based on C++

Apparently you don't really understand what programming really is =P Any language can work with WoW. It just all depends on the way you want to use it. Hacks/Bots are generally coded in languages such as Auto-It, VB .NET, C#, and C++. They are generally run out of the process, and read (and sometimes write) memory, using things such as ReadProcessMemory and WriteProcessMemory. Addons are generally (maybe always?) written in LUA, because that is the engine that the addon system uses. You choose which path you want to take.

C, C++, C# are the main programming languages used for hacking WoW. You're gonna need to know a lot about those languages+WoW to write anything useful though

Also LUA is written in C
