(Whole site on one page) Pop up and Fade BG

Hey guys,

Wasn't sure on the title so sorry but really I'm not entirely sure what I want. But I asked in JS forum and they told me it was php based.

Basically Im re-working my site and I want it on one page so it's simple, user friendly and minimal.

So I have my images, content blah blah but Id like it so when you click the contact link the background fades and a contact box pops up for you too fill i na send an email.

Anyone have any advise? Hints? Tutorials even

Its not php its ajax which is javascript.

heres a whole bunch of ways to do it. Its not exactly web standard and seo friendly but works and looks cool

Yeah, AJAX is cool idea...too bad you can't use the navigation buttons on your browser in AJAX site That is a good reason for some web developers to stay away from AJAX.
