    [VB6] Help sending an Email?

    Please help :/

I don't need anything fancy, don't need attachments, fake email or any of that.

Just need it to send through an SMTP server if possible. Probably smtp.gmail.com

    Thanks in advance!

Protip: Upgrade to VB.NET. VB6 is over 8 years out of date. There was .NET 2000, .NET 2005, now it's .NET 2008, and there's already guides on sending emails in .NET here in the VB forum.

better protip: Upgrade to C#.net - if you're going to change languages you might as well change to something just as easy, but more powerful.

I agree, Midol. c# > vb.net, but assuming he wants to stick with vb, at least upgrade. It's like using windows 98 over xp.

    True.

But VB6 -> C#.net is really an easy move. I am very happy that a friend convinced me to go to C# and not VB.net
